I am so excited to share that I am now licensed to provide counseling services in Texas! It’s no secret that there is national shortage of therapists. There are even fewer who specialize in the areas of teens, young adults, and infertility. My hope is that by expanding my licensure to include all of my neighbors south of the Red River, I can contribute to improving the availability of counseling services. Don’t worry, we can avoid all talk of college football when the season begins!

In case you haven’t had a chance to read about me on my website (which you totally should, BTW! Click here: www.inspiredmentalwellness.com), let me tell you a bit more. I have been doing this work since 2005, after graduating from The University of Oklahoma. In that time I have worked in a variety of settings, including schools, youth shelters and counseling agencies. I feel so grateful to be providing mental health services all over the state of Oklahoma, and now Texas. My specialities are working with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and challenges around big life decisions and transitions. I also work with those who find themselves thrown into the world of infertility and need additional support as they navigate all that comes with that. As a fully online practice I have the freedom to work with people all over the states where I am licensed instead of being restricted to a small radius of my physical location. This is especially important for more rural areas where the need for therapists is significant. Being able to provide counseling services in Texas seemed like a natural next step in my career.
